Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using MedDeutsch, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

1. Educational Purpose

MedDeutsch is designed for educational purposes to help medical professionals learn German medical terminology. The content provided is supplementary educational material and is not a substitute for professional medical training, certification programs, or language courses required by regulatory authorities.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Content Usage

All content provided in MedDeutsch, including but not limited to text, audio, images, vocabulary lists, dialogues, and exercises, is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from app content
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the content for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the app

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the app in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Any misuse, including attempts to circumvent security measures or abuse of the service, may result in account termination without notice.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

MedDeutsch offers the following purchase options:

  • Monthly Subscription: Auto-renewable monthly access to premium content
  • Yearly Subscription: Auto-renewable yearly access to premium content
  • Lifetime Purchase: One-time purchase for permanent access to premium content

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

6. Free Trial

MedDeutsch offers a 7-day free trial for new users. During the trial period, you have full access to all premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged accordingly.

7. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Updates and Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Any data associated with your account may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

10. Disclaimer

MedDeutsch provides educational content only. We make no guarantees or representations regarding:

  • Exam results or pass rates for FSP, KP, or any other examination
  • Medical competency or professional certification outcomes
  • The accuracy of translations for clinical use
  • Continuous, uninterrupted access to the service

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedDeutsch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
